Sherree Patrice Brown’s voice is not just an instrument of melody, but a powerful reflection of a musical legacy that spans generations. With over 30 years in the industry, Sherree has become a signature voice of the ‘90s and Y2K era, contributing to fourteen Grammy Award-winning and Grammy-nominated projects. She is a songwriter, supporting vocalist, and vocal arranger whose contributions have become a defining part of some of the most iconic music of the past few decades.

 

Sherree’s musical roots run deep—she is the granddaughter of Gene Ammons, a legendary jazz saxophonist, and the great-granddaughter of Albert Ammons, a pioneering blues pianist and inventor of the boogie-woogie style. This remarkable heritage has shaped her musical journey, infusing it with a rich blend of jazz, blues, and soul. Sherree carries forward this legacy with grace, fusing genres like R&B, rock, gospel, and more into a sound that feels both timeless and innovative. Over the years, she has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, from Celine Dion and Carlos Santana to Faith Hill, Michael W. Smith, The Killers, Christina Aguilera, and Rob Thomas. With 55 RIAA Certified Platinum and Gold records to her name, her voice has resonated with audiences across the globe.

As a member of the Recording Academy and a SAG-AFTRA Union member, Sherree is not only a respected artist but a guiding force in the music industry. She has arranged vocals for stars like The Killers, Christina Aguilera, and Rob Thomas, while also lending her powerful voice to the stage alongside Chaka Khan, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, and others. Sherree also contributed background vocals on Whitney Houston’s recordings and has worked with artists like Brandy, Toni Braxton, and Michael Bublé, with whom she recorded the hit duet You’ll Never Find. Additionally, Sherree's voice can be heard on Usher's records, adding depth and soul to his tracks, further solidifying her place as a sought-after vocal collaborator. Her artistry has been featured on albums with icons like Al Jarreau, Nancy Wilson, CeCe Winans, and Israel Houghton. As a songwriter, she earned a Dove Award for Best Urban Contemporary Song of the Year for her hit Anything Is Possible by Anointed.
